King River Ranch Bridal

When David Hahn reached out to me about coming out to his new venue, King River Ranch in Johnson City, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see something new. Then the rains came. We must have postponed at least three times before we decided to take a chance. Even on the day we shot, it rained and was pretty windy. Still, I can’t put into words how much this fed my creative spirit. Ashley from Signature Bridal lent me the dresses from her specific line. I LOVED the dresses and the fact that I now knew her as a designer as well. Ivy, from the Neal Hamil Modeling Agency, agreed to model the dresses and Lisa Godwin-Gleeson offered to travel to Johnson City and be in charge of hair and makeup. I knew this would all be beautiful. What made this session more than just a bridal were the stories surrounding it all. David, the owner, brought his two sons from Beverly Hills and decided to take a chance and build a venue out in the Texas hill country. He is new to the area but I knew at hello he would be well liked and completely embraced in the Austin wedding community. I also had a chance to meet and photograph Ted and Darin who were newly married and out at the ranch to continue their celebration. They couldn’t have been nicer and cuter to photograph. I particularly love that while they’ve already been together for 15 years, they felt like newlyweds.

Enjoy!
