Monday Portrait

August 3, 2015

Kardi, my fun-loving adorable niece. I heard her take her first breath when she was born. I swear her big eyes were wide and wondrous like a Disney character underneath the blanket. The best part is that she is just as beautiful inside.icon_smile-8639330

Alice and Zach are Married! Corpus Christi Style!

July 27, 2015

I met Alice and Zach for the first time out at Commons Ford Ranch for their engagements and LOVED Alice’s sense of style and how Zach looked at her when she smiled. I knew Alice would rock her Lazaro wedding dress but on her wedding day, she was rockstar gorgeous. Even on a day that started out with pouring rain AND hail. Out of the blue. Thankfully, the church had a bank of windows that made it all work for Alice and Zack’s first look before the ceremony. You’ll see pictures of Alice waiting for Zach to come around the corner and it was even more gorgeous and touching than if plan A had worked out outside. I could tell that once they saw each other, everything else just fell away. So much so that we decided to hit the beach for a few family/bridal party and couple portraits. Wind had replaced rain but I think that’s one of the things I love about the portraits out there. They’re so real which makes them perfect.

Alice and Zach, I wish you both the very best!!

The Model, Horse & Newly Married Couple

July 14, 2015

When David Hahn reached out to me about coming out to his new venue, King River Ranch in Johnson City, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see something new. Then the rains came. We must have postponed at least three times before we decided to take a chance. Even on the day we shot, it rained and was pretty windy. Still, I can’t put into words how much this fed my creative spirit. Ashley from Signature Bridal lent me the dresses from her specific line. I LOVED the dresses and the fact that I now knew her as a designer as well. Ivy, from the Neal Hamil Modeling Agency, agreed to model the dresses and Lisa Godwin-Gleeson offered to travel to Johnson City and be in charge of hair and makeup. I knew this would all be beautiful. What made this session more than just a bridal were the stories surrounding it all. David, the owner, brought his two sons from Beverly Hills and decided to take a chance and build a venue out in the Texas hill country. He is new to the area but I knew at hello he would be well liked and completely embraced in the Austin wedding community. I also had a chance to meet and photograph Ted and Darin who were newly married and out at the ranch to continue their celebration. They couldn’t have been nicer and cuter to photograph. I particularly love that while they’ve already been together for 15 years, they felt like newlyweds.

Enjoy!

Styled Shoot!

May 26, 2015

I had a chance to quickly photograph Wilhelmina model Audrey out at Butler park in between rain showers. It’s the first time I’ve had a chance to photograph a professional model and I learned a ton about posing and expression that I can’t wait to use with my clients this year. — I’ll always take the traditional portrait but then it’s fun to play and explore what it feels like to wear a dress that is so beautiful and almost magical. For the record, this isn’t a wedding dress. It’s a cool idea created by my friend and stylist, Lisa Godwin-Gleeson. The hair wreath ( SO GORGEOUS ) was created by Bouquets of Austin.

Enjoy!

Stephanie and Sean are Married! | Smith Chapel Wedding

May 13, 2015

Stephanie and Sean were married last weekend and had a gorgeous Smith Chapel wedding and then a FUN Lakeway Resort reception. — Stephanie was gorgeous and Sean’s expression when he saw her was so sweet. In front of everyone, guys do a pretty good job of keeping it together and Sean was downright adorable when he saw her. They are such a fun couple and one of my favorite things from the evening was the 2nd line dance that’s popular in Louisiana. If you’ve ever been to New Orleans, you’ve heard the song. You can’t get it out of your head and help BUT dance. It was a GREAT way to end the night.

Stephanie and Sean, I wish you both the very best!!!

Becky with Pearl Events was their fabulous event planner.
Posey Events was their florist and it was all gorgeous.
Sweet Treats Bakery made the beautiful cakes.
Royal Dukes Band was the band that kept everyone dancing.
Adam Grumbo was the talented videographer.
