Darby and Tyler were married out at the always gorgeous Horseshoe Bay resort. I have been shooting there for years and it always feels like a destination wedding. Darby and Tyler couldn’t be more fun and it’s the perfect place to invite your friends to spend the weekend.

Lori and Trey were married out in Fredericksburg at the GORGEOUS Boot Ranch. It’s a golf course that has a beautiful club house overlooking the Texas hill country. Lori wore boots under her dress and kids were running around while adults enjoyed the late afternoon day outside. I loved it all!

Kelly and Ryan were married last weekend out in New Braunfels at the gorgeous Gardens of Cranesbury View. I’ve never been to this venue and it was perfect for a spring hill country wedding. – I’m showing lots of black and white with this selection because there were sooooo many sweet moments and that’s the best way to highlight them.

As a photographer, it is always good to go back and look at your work and review the past year. I had some AMAZING clients and it was fun to see how it all came out with a little space and time between the wedding and now. The following “Best Of” posts are broken down a little to highlight what I love to shoot. Real moments and strong portraiture rock my world. I would say that over half of my clients elect to see one another before the ceremony. If there isn’t going to be sunlight after the ceremony, I suggest it as a way to get great portraits of the two of them using the venue as a backdrop. Once the sun has gone down, the portraits will have a different look and feel because they have to be artificially lit. Many of my clients just want to see one another before the ceremony so they can have that time alone. It really is a sweet time and all of my clients say it was one of their favorite moments.
