I met Ashley and Travis out at St. Ed’s for a gorgeous fall engagement session. I love the light starting around this time of year and the trees are still full of leaves which makes a great backdrop. — Ashley and Travis are adorable and their height difference was fun to photograph. When I asked him to lift her for a cute pic, it was fun to watch them spin, kiss and play.:)I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in September.

I was told about Seihak Long’s gorgeous clothes by a stylist that I work with often. Seihak is a UT student in fashion design and he’s won several awards for his creativity, usefulness and design. I had my niece, Kardi, come in the studio to model his clothes. I threw the red dress/cape in there as well because it’s the most gorgeous shade of red on the planet. — I love showing something different on my blog because there are so many decisions that go into planning a wedding and trying to stay true to yourself can be difficult. Fortunately, there are some great vendors in the Austin wedding market who specialize in making sure it’s all perfect.

Thank you Signature Bridal for the gorgeous jewelry and veil.

Also, Thank you Lisa Godwin-Gleeson for the great job with hair and makeup.

Kardi, thanks for your time and gorgeousness!!

Finally, Seihak, you are extremely talented. I can’t wait to see where your design career takes you.:)

Sara and Robert had a beautiful Lost Pines Hyatt wedding out in Bastrop, Texas a few weeks ago and it’s one of my very favorite “destination” wedding spots around the Austin area. I have done stay-cations there in the past and I was thrilled to hear Sara and Robert were getting married there. — Sara was so gorgeous in her wedding dress and the response from her bridesmaids when she walked out is one of my all time favorite reactions. It was hard to just pick three. Robert was beyond blown away when he saw her walk down the aisle and his big smiles towards her were just adorable. I loved it all!

Claire and Aimee with Clink were the event planners for Sara and they always take it over the top.
Merveille Floral did the gorgeous flowers/bouquets.
Simon Lee created the delicious cakes.
Marquee Rentals and Whim Events did the beautiful rentals.
Ice House was the great band where literally EVERYONE danced.

Sara and Robert, I wish you both the very best!!

I met Alice and Zach for the first time out at Commons Ford Ranch for their engagements and LOVED Alice’s sense of style and how Zach looked at her when she smiled. I knew Alice would rock her Lazaro wedding dress but on her wedding day, she was rockstar gorgeous. Even on a day that started out with pouring rain AND hail. Out of the blue. Thankfully, the church had a bank of windows that made it all work for Alice and Zack’s first look before the ceremony. You’ll see pictures of Alice waiting for Zach to come around the corner and it was even more gorgeous and touching than if plan A had worked out. I could tell that once they saw each other, everything else just fell away. So much so that we decided to hit the beach for a few family/bridal party and couple portraits. Wind had replaced rain but I think that’s one of the things I love about the portraits out there. They’re so real which makes them perfect.

Alice and Zach, I wish you both the very best!!
