I photographed Anna and Nadeem’s wedding a little over 4 years ago and I was thrilled when they called to say they had a new baby boy. I was even more excited to get to meet their new son and see them as a family. Just 9 days old, Harris is so CUTE and with so much personality. It really is amazing how aware a newborn can be about his surroundings.

Anna, Nadeem and Harris, you are off to a great start!

Lindsay and Eric had a gorgeous Thurman Mansion wedding on a beautiful fall day this past November. I LOVE the fall light and the fall colors in Texas as this time of year. I also love Lindsay and Eric AND their cute dog Harrison. I met them all at their engagement shoot earlier in the year ( PLEASE check out their adorable dog a few posts down ) and knew it was all going to be great. Lindsay and Eric had a first glance so we could make the most of the light before sunset and shoot portraits and family formals ahead of time. We were able to use the gorgeous hill country backdrop and then shortly after the ceremony, they were off to the reception. It was all perfect.:)

Lindsay and Eric, I wish you both the very best!

The event planner was Jennifer with Pearl Events, it was all gorgeous!
Flowers were by Sara Mulder with Bella by Sara
Caterer was Salt Lick BBQ — Yum!
Band was The Royal Dukes

I met Sara and Robert for a downtown Austin engagement session when the weather was raining and overcast one minute and then bright and sunny the next. Fortunately, the sky became blue and the sun came out just as we were starting our session.:)— I had photographed the wedding of one of Sara’s friends and I was thrilled when she picked me to photograph her wedding. We met on the day of the engagement and I immediately knew we were a great fit. Their relaxed style along with Sara’s GORGEOUS red coat made it so easy. I can’t wait for their wedding in April!

I have been debating for the last year or so about opening a portrait studio for indoor portraiture. I will always love outdoor light and great backgrounds but I’ve also wanted to play and see what comes out of a studio setting. For the most part, it’s an exercise to see what I can do with light and four walls. I want to learn something new with every session. This is my very first session and I learned a lot about how beautiful studio light can be for a bridal.

Two vendors that I LOVE and want to thank for making the pictures even better are

Ashley and Lexi from Signature Bridal Salon for the gorgeous dresses in Lakeway and

Stephanie with Bouquets of Austin for the hair wreath

AND a huge thank you to my beautiful niece, Kardi, for being a very patient model.
