I’ve been dying to post this portrait session from Stephanie’s elegant Laguna Gloria bridal! Stephanie had sent me a picture of her dress and we talked about doing a session in a Vogue/ editorial way. She is over 6′ tall and looked like a model at hello. Her dress was PERFECT for her and it was fun to have the chance to play.

I loved it all!

Jana and Rich had a gorgeous One World Theater wedding a couple of weeks ago and I loved capturing what felt like thousands of touching moments throughout the day. Rich brought 3 children to the marriage and Jana brought a sweetness and spirit of fun to this newly formed family. — Jana started the day with meeting her dad at Barton Creek Resort and having her pictures made with him beside his old and beautiful car. She then had a “first see” with Rich and I LOVED seeing Rich’s reaction when he saw how gorgeous Jana looked in her wedding dress. They then practiced their first dance in front of the car and that’s when I captured one of my favorite portraits of the day when Rich lifted Jana into the air. — This wedding had it all! GORGEOUS flowers, balloons and a dove release. It was my first time to shoot one and I’m so happy the doves did exactly like I asked.:)

Jana and Rich, I wish you both the very best!!

Casey Dennis with “Right Before I Do” was their awesome wedding and event planner. She’s an old friend and I can’t count how many times she said Jana’s wedding was a labor of love.
Tracy with One World Theater was the venue planner and it was ALL great!
Stephanie with Bouquets of Austin was the florist on this wedding and her work is so rockstar gorgeous and I loved photographing it all.
Catering With a Twist was the caterer and the food was fantastic.
Cakes Rock did the wedding cake and it was gorgeous.
Texas Pro DJ provided the music and entertainment and they are always fun.

Jaime and Chris had a gorgeous spring Camp Lucy wedding on a day that couldn’t have been more beautiful and sweeter. On top of hearing some of the most touching personal wedding vows, Jaime and Chris had a surprise announcement for their close family and friends. They were going to have a baby and do a gender reveal during the reception. All of the guests were handed out cards and one of them said “It’s a girl”. When Jaime and Chris found out they were having a girl, the DJ put on Pearl Jam’s ” Don’t Call Me Daughter” and the tears flowed. The love in that room for Jaime and Chris was one of the most touching moments I’ve ever photographed during a wedding. — Jessica Dickman, Katie Netherton and Claire Kelly were their always awesome planners from Clink Events who brought it all together. Last Petal was the florist and I LOVED the sweet simpleness of this wedding. Wood, moss, pink and grey have never looked more beautiful. Amanda Pomilla Hagood was my second shooter that day and along with some great shots, she is one of my favs in photography world.

Jaime and Chris, I wish you both the very best!!

Winnie and Mark had a sweet pastel Four Seasons wedding this past weekend. I LOVED the spring/Easter colors and found it everywhere I looked. The green backdrop looked even MORE green and so the colors really stood out. — Winnie and Mark had a first see and then proceeded to have one of the most touching tea ceremonies with Winnie and Mark’s families. I always love to see and photograph different cultural traditions. Nothing is rehearsed and it’s all from the heart. — Becky with Pearl Events was their event planner that brought it all together/ Westbank Flowers did the beautiful floral arrangements/ Adore Salon did hair and makeup/Joel with Greenbelt DJ was their rocking DJ/Inviting Pear did the invitations and programs/ Filo Lighting supplied the uplighting/Kelly was the venue planner from Four Seasons

Winnie and Mark, I wish you both the very best!!

I have been wanting to photograph a styled shoot inspired by the editorial Vogue look for quite some time. Wedding dresses are getting more and more beautiful and often when I arrive to a wedding, I’m blown away by the beauty in the details, color palettes and dress. In fact, I start with those details first thing when I arrive after saying hello to make sure they’re covered.

With this shoot, I wanted two distinctively different looks. The first has an all white palette inspired by Jackie O with the high waisted and lace dress. With the second look, it was much more stylishly “hot” and I shot it a little more “grungy” for that look. The long black gloves and gorgeous burgundy color palette were so fun and perhaps even more beautiful in person.

A session like this doesn’t happen without people saying “yes” when I ask for help. I love and appreciate all the participants more than they know.

Charlie, my model and almost wedding client, said yes to a quick message on FB. I was actually hired to photograph her wedding until she decided to elope in New York. As much as I wish I could’ve photographed her wedding, I totally get the elopement thing.:)

Cami, the SWEETEST dog on the planet, is owned by Fran who owns West End Grooming. A friend of mine uses West End for her dogs and she kept telling me about Cami and how amazing she is and she was so right. Everyone fell in love with her. The crazy thing is that she’s a rescue dog from Rockwall Animal Shelter. I think that makes me love her even more.

Denise with Clink Events said yes with a quick phone call. I’ve worked with Clink Events for years and they created the color palettes that went with each dress. Her designers, Katie and Jessica, created Pinterest inspiration boards and they were total eye candy and exactly what I needed.

Signature Bridal out in Bee Cave lent me the dresses. Lexi, with Signature Bridal, helped us narrow down our choices from a TON of gorgeous dresses. I honestly don’t know how a bride picks just one dress. I’ve had clients have a wedding dress for the ceremony and then change into a reception dress and now I get it. The first dress is by Jasmine Couture and the second dress is by Sottero & Midgley. GORGEOUS!

Stephanie with Bouquets of Austin has said yes so many times through the years for flowers and I always LOVE her work. One of the best in the business.

Ashley Bittles did Charlie’s hair and makeup and it was perfect for the look I wanted. Ashley does hair and makeup for my studio clients and I’m always blown away with her work.

Linda Holmbeck with Horizon Realty was the realtor that offered the house for the shoot that is currently for sale. I WISH I could afford it.
